ParticipantIn 2013, around the peak of their 1 billion member milestone, Facebook was enormous back then. But some simple and ordinary bugs can ruin and endanger a 140 billion dollar company as of right now. This bug had occured when the prestigious company had just reached their goal of a billion followers. This ‘supposed’ software glitch had primarily attacked about 6 million users on the website forcing them to reveal their contact information. Many sources and even Facebook themselves had claimed,”It’s likely that anyone who saw this is not a stranger to you,” the company said in a notification. Facebook also assured that “all of us at Facebook take this issue very personally” and that the company had taken steps to prevent future breaches — though it hastened to add that “no company can ensure 100 percent prevention of bugs.”(Ivanova, 2018)

ParticipantA Facebook user’s ability to see or load photos from the newsfeed has been disabled as of the summer of 2019. But it wasn’t only Facebook that was at fault in this case. There were also issues with several of its other apps. Unfortunate outages occurred on Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Instastories could not be seen nor could messages or media files be sent to or received by users. Several people were enraged by the glitch, which ranked high on Twitter’s complaints list.

ParticipantThis happened while addressing the glitches in New Jersey’s hospital vaccine scheduling system. Found 10k duplicate appointments. The team made more than 10,400 phone calls to fix the issue. And then identified that around 70 percent of appointments were duplicated.
