It has been reported that many bank customers have had money removed from their accounts. Investigate how this happened and how additional security could have been used to prevent or reduce this risk when making payments online.

    – Turn on two-factor authentication
turn on two-factor authentication to protect account takeovers that can lead to payment fraud. Even if a user’s original password is leaked or stolen, only the user receives the one-time password code via SMS that’s needed to log in to a digital payment app or site.

    – Verify your payment recipient
Many digital payment systems lack the checks and balances we’re used to with more traditional payments. If you send money to the wrong address/person it can be lost forever.

    – Double-check QR codes
Before scanning a QR code, especially one on printed material in a public place, make sure it hasn’t been pasted over with a different code.

    – Don’t reuse passwords
Once a criminal acquires stolen data, they could potentially access any other accounts protected by the same username and password.

Last week, a huge amount of bank users, specifically in Thailand, had been reported to be a part of the fraudelent claims of leaked bank information. This had simply happened with the scammers scamming a lot of individual in an online shopping format. The total revenue lost online in total was about 10 million baht going to the scammers. This can be improved and further on prevented with additional security and improved authentication such as detecting unusual transactions, adding more channels for transaction alerts similar to mobile banking and email verification, and even not charging most of the customers until then.

To prevent users from hacking the bank account easily, they should be more secured in the network which won’t let unknown or unfamiliar users join. To prevent it from happening they should add more verifying information before logging in to make sure it is the right owner that is logging in to the account.

People in Thailand have lost money in their bank accounts because their authentication and security were weak. An example of this could be that a man with a weak password like “Love123” clicked on a link that is not trustable or suspicious. These things and weak bank security have gotten people to lose their money from their bank accounts.

As long as your personal information is leaked, it may be stolen. Use a more complicated account password

The security was bad and didn’t secure people’s accounts. With weak security, hackers can easily hack into people’s accounts without putting much effort because there wasn’t much protection. This should raise people’s awareness about the importance of authentication and why it is necessary for us.

The security was bad and that lead to people’s accounts getting hacked. The authentication in banks and the security wasn’t high technology, which made it easier for hackers to hack bank accounts. This should spread as fast as it can, so it can warn other people and maybe banks should make immediate effect on their security as well.

This normally happens when the security is weak. If the security is weak then it is easy to get information. To prevent this you should keep your passwords, pins, and security strong.

two-factor authentication is an amazing thing that I recommend everyone to use because you need to receive a code to get in after you entered your password. Fingerprint or face ID would be good, but there’s still a chance of getting hacked. The bank should also improve its security system to prevent hackers.

I think it’s because their security is weak, to prevent hackers I think we should make our passwords more complicated.

Regarding how to ensure the security of bank accounts: First, do not trust information from unofficial sources, and protect your account. Don’t use too simple passwords (and don’t be like my dad without a password). If you’re not sure about the online information, go to the bank counter.
